“L’Image en creux”

L’Image en creux brings together artists who confront the violence of reality while taking the opposite view of the image-shock.

Paradoxically, their proposals intend to show less to help us see better. The photographs, videos and drawings exhibited reveal several processes that range from the obvious to the disappearance of the image, through erasure, blurring or abstraction. In any case, the defect of visible solicits our gaze, it puts it on alert. When the shock image blinded us by its excesses, the hollow image opens our eyes.
