La pratique picturale d’Anna Nero se situe à la frontière entre abstraction et figuration. Ses toiles, dynamiques et colorées, se caractérisent par des formes géométriques, des motifs ludiques et des textures évoquant parfois des objets du quotidien. En mêlant des éléments empruntés à la culture visuelle contemporaine à une maîtrise des techniques classiques, elle construit des compositions complexes, à la fois familières et énigmatiques. Ses œuvres interrogent la matérialité de la peinture, les conventions de la surface, et jouent avec les attentes du spectateur. Elles évoquent un monde artificiel, presque théâtral, où le motif devient langage, et la couleur, une énergie en mouvement.
Anna Nero (1988) a obtenu son MFA à l’Académie des Beaux-Arts de Leipzig en 2015, suivie d’études post-graduées avec le professeur Heribert C. Ottersbach. Ses œuvres ont été présentées dans des expositions personnelles aux États-Unis, en Allemagne et en Italie, ainsi que dans de nombreuses expositions collectives à travers le monde. Elle est également impliquée dans la gestion de l’espace de projet et d’exposition MARS, basé à Francfort. En 2022, Nero a été professeure invitée à l’Académie des Beaux-Arts de Mayence, en Allemagne. Ses œuvres figurent dans des collections privées et publiques à travers l’Europe et les États-Unis, notamment dans des institutions notables telles que la G2 Kunsthalle, le Musée des Beaux-Arts de Leipzig, ainsi que dans les collections d’art public de plusieurs villes allemandes. Elle est actuellement professeure invitée à l’Université des Arts de Burg Giebichenstein, à Halle.
