    CARLOS ALFONSO

    Carlos Alfonso est un artiste colombien qui explore la vie nomade et les relations entre superstition et narration.

    En 2016, Carlos Alfonso a décidé d’entreprendre un voyage avec sa femme, afin d’explorer la vie nomade, appréhendée comme un moyen d’apprendre par l’engagement envers les autres, de visiter différents pays et collecter des histoires qui refléteraient son expérience anthropologique, là où voyager devient un nouveau medium. Dans son travail, il s’approprie, rédige et compose les récits, les présentant sous la forme d’essais, à la recherche de dialogues entre abstraction et concrétion. L’aspect anecdotique est un vecteur alternatif, explorant des champs élargis qui traversent la perception et la lecture de notre histoire passée et présente.

    Par l’usage de la sculpture, de media audiovisuels, de la cuisine, du dessin, de la performance et de ressources éditoriales, il construit des situations dans l’intention de façonner la poétique. Dans certain cas, ces constructions sont développées pour un lieu précis, ou sont déterminées par un contexte physique. Dans d’autres, le public est impliqué comme agent actif de l’oeuvre elle-même.

    Carlos Alfonso est né en 1986 in Popayan, Colombie. Il vit actuellement à Bogota.
